Project Depaul cares for homeless people in the capital and every night 250 of them can sleep in a clean and warm environment. However, besides clean linen and hygienic necessities Depaul desperately needed to establish an ambulance room. Depaul’s clients suffer from many health issues especially in winter months. These include frost bites or infections. The regular emergency rooms refuse to deal with homeless people and often, they are left to wander off and care for themselves. The equipment of the permanent ambulance from the grant of Foundation Granvia was a priority number one for Depaul.

By learning a unique sewing method, the so-called patchwork, they found a new skill, they can apply in the future. Patron of the project was Jaroslav Borecký, who helped with moving the premises and with the construction works.
