Warmth of home – this was an apt title for the simple and absolutely essential project of the Pahorok Association, which provides treatment for drug addicted young men.

Pahorok situated in a picturesque village Bohunice near Levice was given by the local municipality an old house with adjacent land, which now serves as a refuge for young addicted to substances. The house with no heating got its only heat from an old stove. From the grant of the Foundation the project leaders purchased a boiler and already in November 2013 we received a phone call from the grateful staff of Pahorok that they are looking forward to warm Christmas. Needless to say, this was the fastest project implementation that year. Pahorok provides its clients therapy both through psychological support and also through manual work on a small farm, which is part of the object. The boys take care of cows, goats, chicken, pigs and rabbits. Leaders

They deserve all my respect and admiration for the work they carry out for others. I believe that fixing the heating was a great relief for them in winter months.
